Value is only half the specimen. Its facets tell the story.
How to play
Certify three EXACT specimens:16 with horizontal facets ONLY(─),32 with vertical facets ONLY(│),64 with BOTH(✚). Raw arrivals have no facets(·). Equal values merge once per slide regardless of facets; the result inherits both parents' facets AND the merge direction. Sliding without merging adds no facet. Facets cannot be erased.
Keep horizontal and vertical lineages separate for16 and32; cross-faceted mistakes can still become the64 specimen. Select a ready mineral and Certify. Extraction frees space but removes its merge material. Each certification doubles future raw arrival value:2→4→8, with every seventh excavation doubled again.
Every successful slide spawns one raw mineral in a seeded empty cell. No-op slides are free. Rewind restores the last slide or certification, including arrival and museum state, even after a jam. Retry repeats the sequence; New excavation changes it. Values and facet symbols supplement colour. Tap native arrows, or use arrow keys while focused on the board; tap a mineral then Certify.
